Dear friends of P\u00e4rnu Film Festival!<\/div>\n
We are proud to announce that our XXXV festival will take place as scheduled – during the second and the third full week in July.<\/div>\n
We’ll screen docs in P\u00e4rnu from July 12th through July 18th.<\/div>\n
From July 19th through July 25th, the awarded docs will be shown in other towns, villages and islands of Estonia.<\/div>\n

Today, we are ready to inform You that on air of the Estonian TV2 will compete five docs on common topics CHALLENGE.<\/div>\n
The TV-audience is called to vote as on Eurovision for the best doc which will be awarded with Estonian People’s Award on Saturday, July 12th, at noon.<\/div>\n
Directors of these five docs are invited to attend the festival in person.<\/div>\n
All those who are unable to travel to P\u00e4rnu, they are welcome to follow the award ceremony on ETV2 at the same evening.<\/div>\n

Herewith You’ll find the list of five docs, nominees for the Estonian People’s Award:<\/div>\n

All these masterpieces will be aired on ETV2 at 21.30 (-2 GMT)<\/div>\n

12.07 EARTH IS BLUE AS AN ORANGE (Ukraine)<\/b><\/p>\n

13.07 LATVIAN COYOTE (Latvia)<\/b><\/p>\n

14.07 CLOWN’S PLANET (Spain, Italy, Greece)<\/b><\/p>\n

15.07 THE WHALE FROM LORINO\u00a0 (Far East of Russia)<\/b><\/p>\n

16.07 THE SCHOOL OF HOPE (Morocco)<\/b><\/p>\n

17.07 AWARD CEREMONY (happens at 12.00, broadcast at 21.30))<\/b><\/p>\n

In the Festival Palace in P\u00e4rnu, there will be screened about 50 documentaries.<\/p>\n

Latest by June 14th, we’ll publish the list of other docs which will compete for the best artistic achievement,<\/p>\n

the best doc on survival of indigenous peoples, the best scientific recording, the best doc for kids etc.<\/p>\n

We cross fingers for You to be healthy and joyful!<\/p>\n

We hope to see You at the oldest film festival in P\u00e4rnu, soon.<\/p>\n

P\u00e4rnu is the summer capital of Estonia thanks to our famous beach and very warm sea water in July-August.<\/p>\n
