SUMMARY:Summa
DESCRIPTION:by Andrei Kutsila\, 50 min\, filmed in Poland\nXXXIII PFF The Grand Prize 2019\nA poet\, philosopher\, sculptor and painter Andrzej Strumillo was and will be one of the most outstanding authors of the 20th century\, both for Poland and for Europe. The most beautiful years of his life were spent near the border of Lithuania and Poland\, in his old country mansion under the ancient oaks of Mackowa Ruda. \nEach year Strumillo hosted artists from all across the world. One of these meetings – with a young Belarussian artist and a horse lover is now in front of us through the lense of Andrei Kutsila. Their meeting at the far ends of his life is an opportunity to talk about contemporary and eternal matters. Although Strumillo passed away in the spring of 2020\, his mystical series of paintings\, “The Flight”\, is exhibited at The Museum of New Art until September 2020. \n
