The documentary about Joćo da Mata and his family, a spirit entity member of the "Pajé de Negros" pantheon, in the rural black communities in Brazil. During the sessions of healing, they are invoked by the drums. The "Pajés" are both the practioners and the name of the religion, brought from the slaves during the colonial time of the Bantu coast, mixed with the elements of the indigenous practices from Amazonian area in Brazil.
VÕLUHING
Re˛issöörid Ana Stela Cunha ja Vicente Simćo Junior
Dokfilm Joćo da Mata’st ning tema perekonnast, kes spirituaalse koguduse "Pajé de Negros" liikmed. Nad elavad Brasiilia külakogukonnas, mille minevik ulatub orja-aega, koloniaalperioodil Bantu rannikult Lõuna-Ameerikasse orjade vedamise ajastusse. Seega on tegemist suhteliselt noore (vaid mõnisada aastat!) kultuuriristandiga, mille soontes voolab lisaks Aafrika verele ka Amazonase kallastelt pärit indiaanlaste teadmiste ja kogemuste liblesid.
