Fatma, a nice woman in the age of 20, ran away from Turkey to Italy. She couldn’t stay any longer under supervision of her authoritarian father. Here, in Italy, she gains her freedom and love. Her photographic work with his boyfriend Davide concerns the misfortune of the women in Anatolia. Fatma’s dream is to marry her Italian boyfriend and to return with him to Turkey, to face her father and ask for his permission for the wedding. Her cousin Pinar, for example, couldn't get a Swedish visa to join her first husband and was quickly married off to another cousin. She had no choice, but she still believes arranged marriages are best. "Love makes you blind," says Fatma's father, who contends that the family would never make a wrong decision. This offers Fatma little hope, and the tension is obvious on Davide's face when he and Fatma prepare to ask her hand in accordance with the proper, traditional custom. The young couple is consistent because everyone has to fight for his/her own happiness.

Fatma unistus on abielluda Davide’ga.
